Special congratulations go out to our own Nick Shapiro, Deveney alum (2000 to 2004) who recently was promoted from Assistant Press Secretary for the White House and the President of the United States to Senior Policy Advisor to the Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism. Nick has joined the White House’s National Security Staff as a Senior Policy Advisor to John Brennan and will work on the development, interagency coordination and outreach on a range of strategic homeland security and counterterrorism initiatives.

With more than 20 years of advertising, marketing and media success, Van has not only served as president for one of the largest marketing firms in Louisiana but also embodied the creative mind behind his own integrated marketing consultancy. Deveney makes sure our clients receive recognition for their efforts and achievements. This year, Modern Healthcare magazine named Terrebonne General Medical Center’s (TGMC) Chairman of the Board, Mike Voisin, Trustee of the Year.
On August 13, the Young Leadership Council honored 25 outstanding leaders within the region—three of which are our clients: Steve Milligan, Site Leader at Dow Chemical St. Charles Operation; Phyllis Peoples, President of TGMC; and Carol Solomon, CEO of Peoples Health.
Additionally, TGMC was recognized by New Orleans CityBusiness, which named Dr. Hector Linares a Healthcare Hero.
